ヴェラピエスは平成20年創業。ランプシェードやオーナメント、壁掛けのミラーなどのインテリア小物、ピアスやブローチなどのアクセサリー、など様々なステンドグラス製品を制作、販売しています。
販売は市内の雑貨店などのほか、市内や札幌市内のイベントでも行っています。ワークショップでのステンドグラス制作体験にも参加しています。
もともとインテリアデザインの仕事をしており、趣味で始めたステンドグラスでしたが、もう15年くらいやっています。
まず、ステンドグラスのデザインを考え、型紙を作ります。それに合わせて、使うガラスをガラスカッターでカット、ガラスの縁をルーターという機械でやすりがけし、そこに銅のテープを貼り付けて縁取りします。
最後ははんだでガラスをつなぎ、仕上げます。
Originally I worked in interior design and only started stained glass as a hobby, but I have been working in it for 15 years. The method I use is called the Tiffany method.
First of all, I think up the design for the stained glass and make a pattern for it out of paper. Then the different pieces of glass for the pattern are cut it up with a glass cutter and the edges are sanded with a machine called a router.
After that, the edges are covered with copper tape and trimmed. Finally, the pieces of glass are joined together with solder and it is finished.
