Yukiya Kimono Dyeing Factory
結城屋和服洗染工場は明治42年創業。和服の染め、染み抜き、抜染などを行っています。あるときは⽩い布に⾊をまとわせ、またあるときは、すでにある⾊を抜き（抜染）、まったく違う⾊に染め上げます。
和服を長く着るために欠かせないこと、洗い、精錬、しみ抜き、着物色を抜く抜染（ばっせん）、染色、をすべて１人で行っています。日本の衣の文化の本場である加賀、京都、関西などで小僧丁稚からはじめ、現在に至ります。
柄模様を年代ごとに選定している作業風景です。
しっかりした着物であれば、柄を残したまま、色だけをがらっと変えるというようなことができるのです。日本の文化である和服は絶対になくならないと思います。
Everything that is essential to endowing Japanese clothes with the quality that allows them to be worn for a long time is done by 1 person–the washing, removing of stains, discharge dyeing the color and the dyeing!
I went to Kyoto to learn the craft when I was 18 and that’s where I learned each of the individual steps in the process.
When a kimono is really well-made, it is possible to simply change the color while retaining its pattern. I don’t believe the art of the Japanese kimono will ever fade.

洗い染の技 染め物体験
当工房は、日本の衣の文化である和服（着物）染色専門工場です。
日本の伝統技法である絞り染を使い、52センチ四方の木綿地ネッカチーフの染色体験を行います。
完成したネッカチーフは首元のおしゃれとしても、寒い時期の防寒具としても使えます。
